THE MANIFESTO IS MUTATING!  IT IS TURNING INTO A WIKI THAT CAN BECOME THE HIVE MIND OF ALL COSTUMERS, FINALLY LIVING UP TO IT'S SLOGAN: "COSTUMERS OF THE WORLD, UNITE!" YOU CAN HELP IN THIS PROCESS BY MOVING PAGES TO THE NEW SITE AT THECOSTUMERSMANIFESTO.COM, HELPING TO EDIT THE PAGES THAT ARE THERE ALREADY, AND ADDING YOUR OWN ORIGINAL INPUT.

Tara, I think I have some useful advice for you on how to make Big Hair

Tara- I think I have finally perfected the method for thin haired women to achieve big hair for the theatre. Here goes:

  1. Spray hair lightly with a silicone gel KMS works well.

  2. Roll entire head of hair with medium size hot rollers. Leave them in until they completely cool.

  3. Remove curlers but don't brush the curls! Let them " hang " for about 10-15 minutes.

  4. Finger comb curls, then flip head upside down and brush vigorously.

  5. Flip head back up and lightly tease and comb hair into desired style.

As you may remember, I have completely thin and hopeless hair. But this is finally working. My hair is so big in this show I'm in that I could be in Steel Magnolias or something! I hope this is somewhat amusing to you and maybe even helps with any theatre hair problems you may be having.

Neat hair trick. Mind if I post it some time? ---Tara

Tara- By all means share the info. It took me years to perfect this, women with horrible hair like mine shall rejoice! Rebecca
