Step 1:

Go to the Class Message Board at eGroups, and sign up to be a member of the discussion list.  You may choose to get all e-mail postings sent to you, or to only view postings at the message board (I recommend the latter).  It is ok to sign up to be on the list even if you don't intend to do all the assignments of the class.
