  • Note: While people of many religions have problems with unbelievers wearing clothing from their religion, this is not a very usual attitude with Islam.  People in this group think that modesty is good for everyone, and happily sell modest dress to outsiders who want it.  Salwar Kameez (aka Punjabi suits) are regularly worn by Moslems, Hindus, Sikhs, and others, regardless of religion.  In Saudi Arabia and Iran they even legally insist on their own types of modest dress (Chador and Headscarf respectively)  for all women, and loose fitting clothing on all men on their streets, which you should prepare for if you plan on visiting those countries.  These links can help you find what you may want or need whether at home or traveling.
