Fashions of the Regency Period Paper Dolls An Elegant Madness : High Society in Regency England The Regency Underworld	Pre-Industrial Revolution shears. (Modern reproduction) Adapted from a farming tool for shearing sheep, it replaced the use of a knife for cutting fabric during the late Middle Ages and Renaissance.	Industrial Revolution Bent Trimmers, (Modern reproduction) shears designed specifically for cutting cloth. These shears became standard for garment manufacture during this period and helped to speed up the commercial and domestic production of clothing.
