Tara's Cutting Portfolio

Here are some selections of cutting work have done, mainly on other people's shows. Recently I've only cut shows of my own, so I don't have photos of more recent work.

Me, draping a mock-up of the stretchable dance costumes for Behind The Painted Grin, made out of non-stretchable material, 1985. The PDT Choreographer, Liz Fuentes Rosner, wanted dance unitards made out of cheap non-stretch silk satin to facilitate slides on a Marly dance floor, and asked me to design a pattern that could stretch without tearing. The silk is gathered onto 1/4" elastic at the side, arm and leg/crotch seams.

Design by Madeline Keeling for a break-away evening dress for Ring Round the Moon, 1984, CSU Fresno.

The break-away dress I cut, in action, getting "torn" on stage.
