2002 UK Trek with the meeting of Manifesto Fans

I (Tara Maginnis) and my shop head-sidekick Lorraine Pettit have just returned from our trip to The UK and other locations (San Francisco and Las Vegas). During our trip we met up with a bunch of folks who have heard of us through the Manifesto and did assorted activities with them. Here we will share our trip photos and some of what we learned and saw.

Marie Antoinette: The Last Queen Of France

Fragment of Marie Antoinette's Court Dress Petticoat, 1780's. Monsieur Besnard, an employee of the Queen's wardrobe brought the court dress to England in anticipation of a royal escape that never succeeded. After Marie's execution (1793) the garment was cut up and bits of it (like this one) were distributed as mementos to emigres in mourning for the Queen. Nelson's ceremonial sword given to him by the City of London in 1800 in commemoration of his victory at the Battle of the Nile.
